Terms & Conditions for Alterations

Fittings: Fittings are carried out during the day on Mondays and Thursdays, or any weekday evening. -There is an initial fitting charge of £45 for fittings carried out 'on site', this fee is for the initial fitting, and the following appointment to check work carried out. This is waived if you come to my address for fittings. The fitting fee is payable prior to, or at the time of fitting by cash or bank transfer. -Should you require several fittings from the offset, a price for the fittings will be agreed prior to any fittings or alterations being carried out. -Shoes and underwear are essential for all fittings. If you do not have the shoes you intend to wear on your wedding day, then shoes of the same height are acceptable, but you will be required to sign a disclaimer. Any change in underwear may result in further fittings being required, and this will be chargeable. A selection of underwear is advisable for the initial fitting if there is uncertainty of fit. -Measurements (Bust,waist,high hip,low hip) will be taken at the first fitting, these will be signed off by yourself and kept for reference. If you should need further work to your gown due to weight fluctuations, you will be liable for the cost of any re-alterations that may need to be carried out. - In the case of you owning a 'pre loved' wedding gown, a quick inspection for marks and damage will be noted, brought to your attention and signed for prior to the gown being left with myself. -Dry cleaning (by a specialist dry cleaner) prior to alterations is recommended for 'pre loved' wedding gowns. Bear in mind, there is occasionally some shrinkage, speak to your dry cleaner if you are concerned.

Payment: A final costing will be given after the initial consultation/fitting, no alterations will be undertaken without your confirmation that you are happy with the final costing. - Payment for alterations must be cleared prior to collection or delivery, either by bank transfer or cash is accepted on collection/delivery. Without payment, altered items will not be returned, and may result in a further fee if a return visit is required.

Other: Alterations are usually turned around in three to four weeks; However, in high season this may be extended up to six weeks turnaround. -There is the rare occasion when appointments may have to be changed at short notice. And is only in the extreme circumstances, such as when another bride is to be married very soon and requires urgent extra work or other unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical failure,family emergency, adverse weather conditions etc.

Terms and Conditions for Made to Order items

For items that are made from measurements given: Returns will only be accepted if items are faulty. Please refer to the measurement guide to measure correctly. -Without fittings I cannot guarantee that you will not need any alterations (however, this is more applicable to (but not limited to) older girls and women with fuller figures), I will not accept the workmanship of alterations carried out by another company. -A fitting can be arranged with myself if you are not comfortable to take the measurements yourself – appointments at my address are free of charge, I can travel to you, if expenses are covered. (Standard single fitting fee is £45 for a 15 mile radius of Buxted,East Sussex). -Made to order items will be shipped within 4 weeks of order being placed, (but not before full payment has cleared) I will not be held liable for items delayed due to late payment.

Bespoke Items: Bespoke items are required to have a 50% deposit with the cleared balance due prior to collection,delivery or postage of the item.

Bespoke items, where fittings are part of the process will have the time scale agreed prior to commencement of work. The number of fittings will depend on the complexity of the garment being made and will be discussed during consultation. -Fittings are carried out during the day on Mondays and Thursdays, or any weekday evening, there is a fitting fee for fittings carried out in your home address, this is waived if you come to my address. Any fitting charges will be included in the final price given. -Fabric swatches are given on request and are to be taken as a guide only. Fabric and trims are ordered in per customers needs, therefore colour may vary slightly from roll to roll. Multiple items should be ordered together to ensure fabric is from the same roll as the supplier will not be held liable for slight variations.

For Bespoke & Made to Order items: You will be given a seven day cooling off period, in which time you can cancel your order without charge, should you change your mind for whatever reason. No work will commence and no fabric or samples will be ordered within this time, unless you opt to waive the cooling off period. -Should you wish to cancel your order after this time, you will be liable for the full agreed price.
